Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2025

Bookleap is designed as an offline-first reading journal. The original policy states that personal reading data stays on the device unless the user explicitly backs it up.

Introduction

Thank you for using Bookleap. Your privacy is very important to us.

By using the app, you agree to the terms described in this privacy policy.

Data We Do Not Collect

The app does not collect or transmit personal information. Data such as books, quotes, statistics and reading goals is stored locally on the device unless the user chooses to back it up.

  • We do not collect names, email addresses or contact details.
  • We do not collect biometric or location data.
  • We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs.
  • We do not track behaviour or app usage patterns.

Optional Data Backup

If the user chooses to use the backup feature, a backup file is stored locally on the device or in iCloud depending on user settings. This data is not shared with us or third-party servers.

How the App Works

Bookleap lets users manage a personal book library, track reading progress, save quotes, view statistics and export or import data for backup or device transfer.

All features work offline unless the user explicitly chooses an external storage or sync workflow.

Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for children under 13 and no personal information is knowingly collected from children.

Security and Changes

Because the app does not collect personal data or send it to remote servers, information stays on the device.

We may update this policy over time and publish changes within the app or on the official website.
